Missouri State added a pair of Kickapoo athletes on Wednesday with Brody Wilson (Baseball) and Ellie Shevey (Softball) both signing with the Bears. Jaymin Meador (Fort Scott CC Baseball), Brooks Eaton (Crowder CC Baseball), Callie Kilgo (Ouchita Baptist Softball) and Kaitlyn Finley (MSU-West Plains Softball) all also signed on Wednesday. @fortboggystatepark was @texasstateparks #24 in my quest to visit all of them in one year. It’s always interesting to sit in history that no longer has visible remains…the fort that gave Fort Boggy State Park its name, the settlers that lived inside of it, the Texas Rangers commissioned to protect it, the Keechi/Kichai and the Kickapoo people that lived here long before those settlers arrived. All were here and all are gone. And a very pleasant state park with a lake and some nice trails remain.
