Apple just released official adoption numbers for the latest iPhone software, iOS 26. It’s higher than thought — but hundreds of millions remain at risk by not updating.

Apple has shared the first details on user adoption of iOS 18 so far. The company says that iOS 18 is currently installed on 68% of all iPhones and on 76% of iPhones introduced in the last four years.

Apple figures show iOS 26 adoption is slower than iOS 18, while iPadOS 26 is only slightly ahead of iPadOS 18 after extra time.
